it astounds me that people still use hardcore as a term to describe gamers. People on here hate popular stuff. "Mainstream" games are popular, therefore they're suddenly overappreciated.
Gamers in this thread sound like people who constantly complain about pop music while singing praise to lesser known genres. Nintendo isn't underappreciated.
