PlayStation Plus was the best thing to come out of last gen and Nintendo should jump on.

The amount of content offered by PS+ makes it worth it. Some games offered cost more than the subscription fee for the year. You get a crapton of games a year too. If you don't like an offering you could just cancel your subscription and when you want something resubscribe, so you don't lose anything of value if you cancel your subscription because you see nothing worth your while. It all comes back when you want it to. There's no fear of loss there.
