Nintendo is never underappreciated. Generally underappreciation is a useless word. Those who do not appreciate something have their reasons and therefore appreciate it exactly the right amount.

So then how is Sony underappreciated...?

By rule of elimination. Microsoft is not, Nintendo is not, so it must be Sony since there is no one else left.
