I dont recall myself ever saying that the Wii U has been a financial success. I cannot speak for Nintendo fanboys. I am a fan but I like to keep it in the realm of reality.

well, that's the reason why it's getting so much slack. Fanboys point toward earnings as a way of arguing. Nintendo's earnings doesn't correlate well with Nintendo's quality of Nintendo-developed software (which is without a doubt the best in the industry).

I understand your frustration, but the reality is Nintendo is struggling right now. Games do sell hardware, but right now that isn't quite working, and yes, you state that great games are coming out in the future, but why would they suddenly have a large impact when the games released in the past 18 months haven't done much to help sales?  Doom and gloom is a bit of over-the-top, but the struggle is definitely real. The past represents the future, and again unless Nintendo can prove otherwise, people will continue to think the same way.

No need to get all defensive with this anti-nintendo fanboy / hardcore gamer generalisation when they represent a vocal minority. There are haters everywhere. Can't justify their actions with a thread about em'.
