And I'm totally fine with that.  Sure, I'm biased because I'll only play Bethesda games on a PC, but I absolutely love the symbiosis between the Fallout/Elder Scrolls games and the modding community.  I pray that it continues.

If it's selfish of me, then so be it--even if our console brethern have to suffer through an ugly game, I want to mod up my Elder Scrolls/Fallout experience in all it's PC-centric glory.

I completely agree. Modding is what makes Bethesda games what they are. Solid games by themselves, but the collective modding community is what make them great.
