To OP: You are right on the money. There are probably a lot of people that have a PS4/XB1/WiiU pegged as their holiday gift of choice right now.
But this years sales will pale in comparison to next years sales. Especially if teh consoles are at $299 at that point. Cause be rest assured, if at the end of this year PS4 is at 15-16M and XB1 is at 8-9M, MS will drop the price of the XB1 to at worst $300 next year and sony will have to respond in kind.
