You don't think that you are being just a tad hyperbolic? Terms like "force" just don't seem to be appropriate here. Of all the Ubisoft games I have ever purchased not once has any of their corporate cronies come to my home put a gun to my head and told me, in one of those threatening French accents, that I must pry open my wallet and drop $1 on a booster pack.

If it becomes accepted why is it a problem? We aren't talking about IV drug use or the wanton murder of other human beings here we're talking about video game DLC. It is an option that Ubisoft (and others these days) make available for those who want it. Nothing more, nothing less.

So you'll have no problem with buying half your game at $60 and sold the other half in bite size chunks?  But it's just video games, it's just money, right?  Belittiling what you're paying for is exactly what companies want you to do, so it doesn't seem like "a big deal, man", when they're ripping you off and robbing you blind.
