GOW: A reportedly had a budget of $50 million, which is $6 million more than GOW 3. If we go by that, $34.2 million from a single country in its first 19 days and $35 million revenue from European sales in first 3 months should be quite close to breaking even for Sony on the game, then consider rest of 2013 sales in US and Europe and 2014 sales (at a lower price on average, but still) and they probably made some decent profit on the game. It also was #6 best-selling game on PS Store for December 2013, and it was released on PSN in October. KZ 3 of course isn't a weight carrier, but one game shouldn't carry the weight of another when it comes to profit. |
Well I agree with you, GoW:A wasn't a stellar seller but probably gave enough profit to justify it, same with KZ3.
