http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Virtual_boy < 8 months from launch to discontinued

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Windows_vista < 24 months of version updates

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/64DD < 8 months....

Vita has already been out for 3 and a half years and still getting a nice stream of games all the time. But if you are willing to overlook failures of other companies which bombed more than 6 times faster from release to death can't really argue with ya about it.

I said system.

Vista is a software not a system

The 64DD is a peripheral again not a system

Can't really argue when you think a OS is the same as a hardware system.

Lol ignores virtual boy completely and doesn't know what the S in OS means. If you fancy changing the goal posts to consoles then Microsoft has a whole 2 consoles with longer support than the Vita to date, if it stay on the market another 18 months it will pass the original Xbox in terms of how long it was supplied/supported tho.

If you want to reply again tho just focus on how long Nintendo Supported the Virtual Boy, did you maybe just miss those 8 months? They did go by fairly fast.

I'll give you Virtual Boy but using Software when I clearly meant hardware releases is pointless.

Also, while the Virtual Boy was a failure atleast Nintendo released its successor quickly after that. Same for MS with Xbox 360 and Window 7 if you want to talk about OS.

Wonder when Sony will announce Vita 2
