But remember that the one third of the PS2s sales came after the PS3 launched. So by 2006, it could have been very profitable but the game division still reported a loss because of the PS3. 


I agree with you, and perhaps that is the reason we didn't saw a reaaaaaaaaaaaaly big hole in PS financials in the first 2 or 3 years... but even so, the notion of 20% carring the weight and 60% being dead weight support the vision that I said to the guy I quoted that it's based on Sony historical data.
