Neymar's injury should finally force FIFA to change their paradigm on close contact during matches, and perhaps their instance on yellow cards. This should heavily favour the European teams as the "close combat" style of game seem to be what allowed a lot of the technically inferior squads to make it through the round of 16 and the quarterfinals.
