The 360 fanbase was basically just PS2 fans that didn't like the PS3 but it would seem that a ton of the 80M+ PS3 fans would have pounced on a cosole that didn't have the issues that the PS3 had.

PS3 owners aren't upgrading because they are too satisfied with their current console.
