Dark Void and Murdered Soul Suspect studio shuts down after ten years
Independent game development studio Airtight Games has confirmed reports of its closure.
The Redmond, Washington based company behind games including Dark Void, Quantum Conundrum and most recently Murdered: Soul Suspect said on Twitter:

It is unclear how many staff were employed by Airtight but, according to one affected employee, the studio had been in financial trouble since at least January. Lee Scheinbeim, who served as lighting artist on Murdered, said on Twitter:

On Tuesday, Geekwire posted a picture of Airtight's former office space showing a sign outside the building confirming it was "closing doors". The site reported that a small collection of Airtight's E3 awards sat on an empty desk surrounded by unused workstations, while office equipment was being advertised for sale at heavy discounts.
Airtight confirmed in April that 14 staff had been laid off as part of what president Jim Deal labelled "necessary restructuring".
He added: "This restructuring is part of the normal ebb and flow of game production. Existing projects are on schedule and Airtight Games is actively seeking partners for exciting upcoming projects."
Portal designer and former Airtight creative director Kim Swift left the company for Amazon Game Studios earlier this year.
