He was paraphrasing analysts. Some analysts believe this will be a long generation, just like last gen. Personally I think it will be a short one since the consoles this gen are weaker compared to competing platforms than they were at the beginning of last gen. If this gen lasts any longer than 5 years, smartphone and tablet games will have better graphics, unless Microsoft/Sony can get cloud enhanced rendering up and running effectively in the next few years. 

No he said "some analysts WILL say..." classic PR speak attributing statements to experts who never said any such thing.
