It's been a miserable failure for Sony, and if anything, has damaged the brand. There's not many new games coming out (any?), zero killer apps, and even Sony is dropping support for it. Why continue it at all? 8.5 million isn't a lot for hardware...the Vita is taking up shelf space which could be used for PS3 and PS4 merchandise.

There are a lot of games coming, in fact Vita's 2014 library can be considered among the strongest libraries of all platforms for this year. Seriously. We just got info about Freedom Wars selling 190k at retail in Japan FW - a very nice score, I hope it can get to 1 mil.
