Hybrid console/handheld. Buy the console version or handheld version, play on your tv or play on the handheld. If the console is in the form of a DS include a Wii U tablet which is required to play some games. Tablet is bottom touch screen, tv is top screen. Use cards like the DS or 3DS that work on both consoles, so if you have both systems you can quit playing at home, put the game in your 4DS and then keep playing at a friends or something. Also cross buy for all eshop games since both systems have the same architecture.
