Prevailing opinion ....what in your words lol ....

If yu want to argue semantics to be able to say "see the Wii wasn't a fad" go right ahead.  The fact though is that so far Wii has been the only gaming system to establish success using motion controls.  Playstation Move, Xbox Kinect, have both failed to catch on.  The Wii U - if the Wii wasn't a fad - would've seen a higher attach rate just based on the Wii's success.  Motion gaming has come and gone in the iteration it existed in during Gen 7.  Motion gaming was and continues to be a fad.  The Wii's success was based solely on motion gaming.  Not my fault you can't add 1 and 1 there.

What does what u wrote have to do with the perception of the wii in the future when people look back whether it use  motion controls or  motion gaming etc etc etc....my point was the wii will be remembered as the home console that sold the most in generation 7 all that other stuff you mentioned is irrelevant lol....not my fault you can't put these thoughts into a proper understanding and to your point why wasn't the attach rate the same from the ps2 to the ps3 half of the user base disappeared....some generations consoles will do well some won't it's as simple as that ....also the wii u isn't based on motion controls so it's different ...it's based on a gamepad and two screen gaming ...different console different results .....
