So most people expected the trend to continue.

The trend is continuing comparativley. They're still selling higher week to week compared to the same amount of time in the market as the 360 and the PS3. It's like people don't understand that these consoles are going to be around for YEARS. You can't expect the sales to be huge the first Summer (or any Summer really) the new consoles are out. It's getting a little sad to be honest. People here need to step outside of the gaming forums and realize that most families spend money on traveling and other expenses around this time of year.
