4.5M for a year?? That is low... a good selling console is around 10M a year. WiI 5M in the first 9 months (average 128k per week) and 5M for the last 3 months (385k per week average). And in BF/Some weeks in December sell between 800k-1M.

10,000,000 in one year is not a good sales, is a succes IMHO.

This generation all console were a succes, with all more of 80M+.

But in this generation, 4.5-5M on year is not good, but not bad, for me is minimum.

Considering a normal span of gen (will remove sony tail sales that are great) a gen takes like 5y so if you on average sells 5M a year that isn't good because the most you would get considering growth, peak, decline and tail would be something along 30-40M it isn't good (but could be acceptable) but probably would stop between 20-25M that is bad.

10M a year is good to achieve something along 70M.

A great sales year is around 17-20M. Look for the yearly sales of gen 7 to confirm. A good december month shouldn't be bellow 500k weekly.

Now if you are talking about first year+holiday, 5M is week, 8M good, 10-12M great, 17M is fantastic.
