"Just like life"?
Maybe they're talking about a different life but in my life(here on earth) I don't think combat forces are "teeming with women".
This is where gender equality goes too far and leads things ad absurdum.
If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.
