Sony is shifting their topset box in to the Gaming paradigm 1st before media streaming, NOT MAINLY A MEDIA SERVER 1ST GAMING 2ND.

2: Not nearly as strong of a content ECOSYSTEM?

maybe not in streaming Video, or sheer number of App's, but as for a "Gaming Centric Ecosystem" Apple and Amazon are not as Strong as Playstation when it comes to Gaming, if it was Apple and Amazon would Have a Game Console by now! Which they do not have a Game Console. I would love to see them compete in this market against  Nintendo and Microsoft and Sony and see how well they would do!

"I really don't think Sony will do well in that market.  They haven't done nearly as well in Laptops, cell phones, tablets, Personal media devices either. They don't have enough content to rival iOS and itunes period.  "

Again you are trying to put this as a vs' on Apple's and Amazon's  terms instead of Sony's and this Topset Box is not based on what Amazon and Apple are mainly doing with the Box'es they produce. the Type of Market Design for the Top set Box they produce not for the kind of Top set Box Sony is going for...Despite what you listed, Cell phones are over 10 million a sales Quarter, if that's bad number's than Wow, yes its no Samsung or Apple, but selling 10 million xperias per sales Quarter is in my opinion are far from not doing well.

This is not about laptops, Cellphones, tablets or PMP players, this is about launching another livingroom or bed room "Playstation Game console" and the fact its not a mobile playstation but a living room or Bed room game console at that .

The PS1, PS2 AND PS3 AND NOW THE PS4 HAVE ALL DONE GOOD, ASIDE FROM THE MOBILE PLAYSTATION WHICH THE PLAYSTATION TV IS NOT, Trying to point out that it would not do very well is fine and all that's your opinion, but i for one think it may do very well and with Sony's market expansion into china with game console's the Playstation TV, may have a very good chance to do quite well due to its price point and functionality from the get Go.

" It will not be recieiving support in terms of new games from Sony going forward"

where did Sony say that for playstation TV?

They said that less 1st party game's for PSVita

There was no talk about playstation TV because its not launched yet in all markets in the world anyway. Like i stated before the less 1st party Games was about the PSVita! not about playstation TV, and How do we know for sure that Sony 1st party  PSVita and has not shifted  1st party PSVita in house development to the Playstation TV from PSVita?

we don't but if this device has a very high chance of not doing well , why release it? why spend the money to even ship it?

Even if they aren't fighting Apple and Amazon's paradigm they will fail at games.  How do I know this? Vita has already failed with it's game library. So gaming console first then it still fails. If users want AAA games then they will buy a console that regularly gets them.  iOS actually gets far more exclusive content from larger publishers and more gaming content in general than Vita. iOS and Android got CoD and GTA last year.  Can Vita say the same?

Apps and Video content on Vita is far less than that of iOS as welll.  Media server first and it still fails too.

Playstation TV and Vita are the same hardware.  So no games for one means no games for the other.

Mandatory very pricey memory and streaming content are two very large foes to developing nations whom don't have the best bandwith or highest incomes.

Please refrain from quoting me and sharing your hopeful delusions about the device going forward.  It's obvious we simply don't agree and will not agree.
