There is so much wrong with the bolded part that i don't even know where to begin. I will put it this way though, PCs have more to fear from consoles becoming more like them than they other way round and in truth the only thing saving PCs now is that they always offer a higher performance advantage. The core gamer you talk about specifically only exists in the PC space. And they are nothing compared to the millions of "core gamers" that exist in the cosnoles space. And no, its not "easier" to manage anything on PC. |
Yes it is. Try managing your patches for games easily on a console. Once the gen ends you are screwed because services are shutdown and no more patches. On pc its jsut an exe file. you can store it seperately and reinstall your games at will without the worry of the patches vanishing. I still got games from 90s and 00s with their patches.
Old gen consoles where plug and play. Now that devs cut corners and expect the gamers to be their beta testers more and more bugs creep in which require patches.
And as for the core gamer I am referring too most have started on consoles and have slowly evovled onto PC due to being fed up with the direction consoles have gone to. I have 3 mates who never played PC before this gen and now they are PC exclusive and bigger PC gamers then I am.
