TLDR, no offense, I could write many paragraphs on the subject myself.

I boil it down to : play what you like, and don't be an arse.

I like both. I'm not an either/or kind of guy. If I had to choose one, which would suck, I would choose PC simply because of the ridiculously huge library/backwards compatibility/other benefits.

I do realize that not everyone has the competence, interest, and budget to play on PC, and that many genres are extraordinarily poorly represented on PC (sports/fighting mostly). It's easier for most people just to choose console. This is even more important should someone have a poor internet connection in a rural or unlucky urban area. Easy to go to Walmart and buy a new game and be playing immediately rather than wait 30 hours for some giant game to download AND THEN start a massive patch lol.
