Less tacked on motion control, waggle to spin, really nintendo that is your idea, again?

That felt really natural for me. I would expand its usage to more situations.

I echo the thoughts of the powerups. So great of ideas wasted because they held your hand through each usage.

Again, more uses for them. Especially the flying one.

More connected hubworld. It felt to me like nothing you did in the galaxies mattered once you finished. Lives really didn't matter in this game, coins, powerups. I prefer a SMB3, SMW feel but that is just me.

Bigger and more connected, with secret stars like the Castle had.

Bigger galaxies. I am not talking adventure but most of water galaxies, hte bee suit galaxies, and the toy galaxy were memorably large. There jsut seemed to be a few too many that were 6-12 golf balls.

Instead of there being 3 story stars and 5 rehash stars per galaxy, make it more like 6 story stars and 2 rehash stars at most.

And if they want story( I still don't think Mario games need one or should have one) make it interesting enough for me to bother to to follow it . After the first couple chuncks I never went to the library to hear any more.

Remove the story altogether, except for save the princess from Bowser (obviously).

But I agree that to keep the formula fresh they need to constatly reinvent themselves. If they wanted to do a true sequel Super Mario 3 redux would be my choice. 2.5D, classic powerups and flying, world maps the worked. The game would be nuts in Japan. Flick Wiimote to flick Racoon tail seems tailor made.

So, basically New Super Mario Bros., but better and Wii-fied? I'm in.
