OT: PC is nowhere near the hassle you make it look like. Problems with the different drivers? Almost all of them will be installed automatically by your OS once you need them. Graphics card drivers? Yes, they are trickier, but if you play it safe and forget about the Beta drivers you won't have much troubles.
Also streaming, you make it sound like Sony or whoever wants to do it needs a console duplicate for every user that wants to use the service. Yeah, sure.
But yes, consoles are the best choice for the average gamer (ie. most of us).
