Regarding the western-oriented games, that is arguable. Metal Gear Solid and Final Fantasy are definitely Japan-oriented, perhaps more than Mario and motion games and see how that sells in Japan. I would say Japan is changing every year and that now it's far from being only about anime videogames. There is a very strong casual component as well as a growing western niche there. XOne has both and therefore I think Sunset Overdrive, Plants vs Zombies and Project Spark are actually quite Japan-oriented...as well as Kinect.

Yeah... I don't agree.  Final Fantasy & Metal Gear Solid still sell in Japan, but they're undoubtedly aimed squarely at the west in terms of appeal.  At least for the whole of the 7th generation and what we've seen so far from the 8th generation.

I do understand your point a little better now, and yeah, of course - people who are interested in Halo + only the big Japanese games will indeed be choosing an XB1 instead.  I don't disagree with that!  But we're looking at a very small portion of people there.

(By the way, PvZ isn't XB1 exclusive in Japan - it's releasing on PS4 the same day - check here)

You can disagree. But it's arguable. And the proof is that we both have very different opinions about it. For example, I trully believe that Final Fantasy XIII is Japan-oriented and its sales clearly show it.

Regarding that portion of people, it may be small but its existence proves how mistaken are people that claim XOne is only about western games.

Regarding Plants vs Zombies, I didn't know that. Will it come to PS4 on the western markets as well?
