| eva01beserk said: so your logic is all of x1 exclusives are system seller while the only one for wiiu is ssb. That is not logic but a biased opinion. I actually see the wiius exclusives to sell more systems, one because they are vastly diferent than theres anything in the market witch is not only shooters acording to MS and second, everithing is going to get buried in the multyplats witch will not happen to wiiu. Second of all all thouse third party ips will do next to nothing for the x1, cuz all the attetintion will be on ps4. The x1 will not come close to the wii u this year nor the next. will have to see the 2016 line up to see if it has a chance. |
1.) I did not say all X1 exclusives are system sellers. Dance Central Spotlight, Fantasia Music Evolved, and Ori and the Blind Forest are examples of exclusive that are not system sellers.
2.) Lets look at the Wii U's other exclusives this year:
-Sonic Boom: Last years sonic game was a complete flop, see for yourself

Also, so far, this year's new Sonic game has gotten a some bad press with one site calling it "the worst sonic game ever".
-Bayonetta 2: The first Bayonetta was a great game, and it's sales were alright with it selling around 1.4M across the X360 & PS3. It has a good loyal hardcore fanbase, but never reached mainstream audiences as well as games like Mario Kart or SSB, both wich have sold millions and millions of units. (Mario Kart Wii sold like 30M copies just on the Wii).
-Hyrule Warriors: This is a cross of Dynasty Warriors with the Zelda universe. I think this will move a lot of Wii Us in Japan where Dynasty Warriors is a popular series, but in the US and Europe, this will not move that many consoles as the series is not that popular there.
-Captain Toad Treasure Tracker: This is a game based off of a mini game found in Super Mario 3D world. I see this game as a bit of a wild card. I think it has the potential to sell well if it is a good game, but am unsure of how many Wii Us it could sale as there isn't really an established franchise of Toad Adventure games. (By the way, I aplaud Nintendo for making this game, it is a bit of a risk, but looks like it might could turn out well).
-Super Smash Bros.: This is an established series, that has a history of moving a lot of units, so I think it will give the Wii U a good boost during the Holidays. I do wonder however if the boost will be held back because of the 3DS version wich is comming out almost 1-2 months prior to the Wii U verion.
3.) The Xbox One does not have just shooters as exclusives, your opinion is clearly slanted. Here is a list of X1's main Holiday exclusives
-Halo MCC (FPS)
-Sunset Overdrive (TPS)
-Forza Horizon (Raceing)
-Fantasia Music Evolved (Kinect Music Game)
-Dance Central (Kinect Dance game)
-Shape Up (Fitness)
-Project Spark (Creation Game)
-Ori & the Blind Forest (Platformer)
Only 2/8 of the games there are shooter games, so you can not argue that the X1 only has shooter games.
4.) So your logic is that the Wii U having virtually no 3rd party support will help them? And that the X1 having 3rd party support will hurt them?? That seems a bit backwards....
1st Party + 3rd Party is better than just 1st Party, and will only add to sales momentum, not take away from it. It also helps fill in time and genera gaps when there are no/few 1st party games comming out.
5.) The PS4 will not steal all of the Multiplatform attention because Xbox has exclusive marketing with a ton of multiplatform titles this holiday like Dragon Age Inquizition, Call of Duty, Assasin's Creed Unity, and Evolve.
Also, I think you overestamate the amount of people that care about the slight resolution differences between the X1 and PS4. A lot of people are still going to get the X1 solely because it gets the Cod DLC first, and the Resolution wars are slowly dying down with more and more games (Destiny, Alien Isolation, The Crew, ect) achieving resolution parity on X1 & PS4
