Why wouldn't it be? For instance Wii + PS3 +X360 in Japan last gen was around the same as all 3 consoles in the UK. UK is a very strong and relevant market in the video game industry so why wouldn't Japan? Tax hikes or no tax hikes, Japan still has it's place.
