As usual I don't think 3rd party support matters until the console takes off, and as always Nintendo games cause Nintendo consoles to take off. It was the case for the Wii, the 3DS, the DS and I'm pretty sure it's the case for the U.

If Nintendo doesn't make it take off, it won't take off no matter what 3rd party games come out for it.
