I also fail to understand MS : no great Kinect IP for launch, no bundled game, a price to high for casuals... Don Matrick is certainly the only answer lol
But perhaps they thought they had so great and genious ideas for hardware (put an AMD APU, add custom cheaps) that a Sony's console not as cleverly designed would be sold at 500$ and not significantly more powerful, making the PS4 a "xbox one without Kinect". Or that Sony would also bundle something, making it even on price. Anyway I think that they strongly mistaken or undersestimated Sony's offer.
