He lives in the UK -_-

Big difference between where someone is from, and where someone has chosen to live.

You know, it's funny, because Android isn't even that popular in Japan. iOS is easily king there, and that's where the vast majority of major devs (like Namco and SE) concentrate their games. And Japanese iOS revenue is far behind the US or even China, so that point is moot.

And yet the Galaxy S4, S4, Tab 2 and so on are the highest selling phones here, and all other models such as Arrows, Xperia, Fujitsu (Disney mobile) and so on are all running Android, and have the largest share, at emobile, willcom, docomo, AU and softbank of the market over iOS. case in point, Apple devices are indeed popular here, but "king"? you're having a laugh.

But then again we circle back to the situation of the opinions of an outsider to the opinions of a resident.

Well, I apologise then for getting your nationality wrong. You saying you live in the UK in your profile isn't helping though.

And what in the world are you talking about? iPhone is EASILY the top selling phone in Japan. I respect that you are a resident and all, but it doesn't help your argument when you don't get that right.

And SE and Namco release almost exclusively on the iPhone, and those are easily the biggest phone devs, correct me if I'm wrong.

Some more links that contradict your statement of Android being on top in Japan-

And while app revenue is amazing in Japan (once again, the majority from iOS devices, even though Android is catching up in software, not hardware), how much of that revenue comes from games? A lot, if not the majority, comes from applications that aren't games, judging by the most popular apps.

what part of individual device sales being entirely different from platform bases do you not understand?
