Before VGC I went to Kotaku and Destructoid. I don't really need to anymore since the most important stuff ends up here anyway.
Years ago I used the escapist as a news source but it(and GT) has now become just a source of fresh videos.
I never used the other sites so I can only say that Escapist and Kotaku are ruled out. Escapist is too slow and Kotaku has like 40% non gaming posts.
If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.
