Oh, I have 1.86ghz with 3gb ram. So I guess that helped a bit. Upgrade your ram though. Vista is such a whore when it comes to rams. lol

Well, I bought my laptop mostly because it's small and light (4lb and 12 inch), so I bring it to school without breaking my back, I'm pretty short and skinny (5'9 and 135lb), I opted for dedicated video card mostly for video playback, but I do occasionally play some games.

I'm too lazy for customs, I wouldn't mind do a desktop custome, but with laptos, I rather go with brands, Dell has served me well (second dell), so I'm a pretty loyal customer.

 Yeah laptops are the only exception I have for not building. I have a dell , and a realy old macbook my friend just gave me.

@psrock I don't think it's the extra processing speed though. Maybe it is vista. Just use xp or linux+wine.
