Look just focusing on the present and goind forward, Sony is done with the PS3, except MLB and whatever japanese 3rd party games make their way. MS is supporting their console in its 9th year. You are questioning 360 support in its 10th year? Damn you realize how late that is? Like GOW2 released in PS2's 7th year...nevermind 10. Just think you are reeaaally playing down 360's longevity and 9th year support.

When have sony's ever been done with their console the moment a new one comes out?  sure, they'll focus their studios more to the new console, but they just dont go abandoning the community on the last gen either.  it's still selling, and will continue to sell.  Hell, the ps2 sold all the way up to 2010.. games were still coming out for it up that point.  See, what you fail to realize is.. the support never stops.  it's not like MS where.. "oh, it's 10 years now... no more games!" and abandon your community.. 1st party or not, games are still coming out for the ps3, and will continue to do so.  there's a reason why Sony has a much more loyal following..  longevity isn't played out in years.. it's the community and how well it thrives depends on the support they get. might not all be 1st party.. but it's games/even exclusives none the less.  it's no wonder why so many previous xbox gamers are making the next gen switch to ps4..

Thought this was about 1st party support, not merely selling. Because 360 is older and still selling. PS2 got 3rd party support until 2010, unless you count MLB, the Madden of baseball games for 1st party. 360 will get 3rd party support too so no worries about that.

You realize even making it to 10 years is a VERY rare thing to do, especially when there isn't the PS name attached to the console. Talking that down is very laughable. Gamers making the switch has more to do with pricing, now cancelled polocies of last E3, and geographical brand power. Because if it was about releasing more exclusives (that don't necessarily sell), then PS3 should have taken 2nd years ago......

They way I see it, Sonys last REAL support for PS3 was in 2013, PS3's 7th year. 360's seems to be this year, its 9th. That's 2 years gap buddy. And if Project Spark makes it to 2015 on 360, that's 1st party support after 10 years, but hey, im sure your dying to rebuy MLB for PS3 every year going forward right?
