In most cases, I'm not that interested in playing online multiplayer. If a game has online multiplayer I usually play it for a few hours to try it out, but in general I stick to single player. At this point, I don't think I would pay a yearly fee to play online.
I do, however, find value in PS+. I've downloaded and enjoyed a lot of games through PS+ that I would have otherwise never played. In addition to the free games, a lot of other titles have PS+ discounts which add up.
It sucks that Sony decided to put online play behind a pay wall, but it hasn't impacted me as I'm already a PS+ subscriber.
