Despite all the comments saying "you shouldn't have sold your console" I understand that sometimes people just don't have money to fund gaming habits for 2 consoles. That being sad, I sometimes wish I had a Wii U instead of a PS4, if only to play MK8, but I'm not going to pay 250 plus the price of the game for a MK adaptor (like and respect Nintendo properties, but not really a diehard fan of them aside for Mario Kart, which I revere).

As for PS4, it does have an incredible life ahead of it, but currently not many killer apps are on it. If you want some pretty things to look at, sports games, Killzone and of course Infamous are all games to consider.

For substance, you can get the MGS demo (lol yes its a glorified demo, but I think it's still on sale on PSN and it's beautiful and has great gameplay and replayability). The full game is something to look out for when it comes.

Other great titles on the horizon are GTA 5 (which looks markedly better than its last gen counterparts) and The Last Of Us (best game of the last gen, imho, but remastered). Sure they are older games, but I'm guessing you didn't play them since you gamed primarily on Nintendo consoles so it'd be new to you...and very much worth the experience.

There's also F2P games (though I don't actually play them, but I look forward to Planetside 2) and online offerings. I currently play FFXIV: ARR which is awesome, but if you're not into MMOs or subscriptions (seeing as how you had to sell your Wii U, I am guessing you are a conscientious/frugal consumer) it might not be your thing.

Aside from that, you'll have to wait for the big new games to hit in the coming next two years, unfortunately.
