They never outlined how this would work to begin with, so im sceptical this will ever be what people are hoping it will. 3rd party publishers aren't going to agree to have unlimited lending of games to anyone on your friends list.
Gamers will have hundreds of online friends, no where near the same as real life friends that can borrow a disk.
For example steam is limited to 5 friends, and any game that requires a 3rd party key wont work, so im guessing that rules out all UPlay games.
