I'm actually having the same issue wiith games with gold........on the 360 side noot the one though......but that might be because I don't really play that often, an 8 hour game can take me over a month to complete.

The games are unavailable if you don't renew. However, it's just saying that if you do renew, the games that you previously downloaded will still be available .

I love the fact that I can erase a game and revisit the game through my download list and it never goes aways as long as I have my plus activated.

Yeah that was my understanding, however the OP suggest he could decline renewing his subscription so he can just sit back and play all the ps+ games he racked up.

That's not true at all. If you don't renew...you lose everything you've gained in plus. I know because by mistake, I let my subscription lapse and I lose everything including games that was in my downloads list. This happened to me just 2 weeks ago.
