You may well be right. Personally I agree, the strategy is a bit douchy. I did buy TLoU last generation and its astounding.
You just often find that fans of Sony games seem to think that Microsoft's first party is incapable of making astounding games. Historically it would be fair to say MS has invested less in its first party (even if thats not longer fair to say). But what they did invest was often gold. With the possible exception of ODST I am able to look at the Halo main series and admit that every game was brilliant, even without being a big Halo fan.
