People are much pessimistic with XBOX ONE

Xbox One will be fine as long as microsoft injects money into it. Right now the console is still finding its identity - once it can clearly differentiate itself from the PS4 - it should be a success. Hopefully...

It was once, the changes have made the X1 a clone of the PS4. It's almost a straight shoot out now between the two. I guess it will come down to the games and with multi's upto now being mostly better on the PS4 it will be the exclusives that will really differentiate the consoles from each other. 

That's its problem right now. Not much difference between the two - with the ps4 ahead with perception that it is a more powerful system and the promise of strong 1st party support from Sony. Microsoft needs a stronger pool of 1st party exclusives, which is the point you made at the end.

Microsoft has it within itself to pull it off. Now it is a waiting game whether they will do it.
