yeah some attribute it to budget, some to impact on sales, some to simple graphic fidelity. For me I don't really care if a game is considered AAA or not so I don't spend much time thinking about it lol. I guess I define it kinda like the OP and I would definitely count those as they're some of my favorite games from the past gen and offer just as much content as bigger budget releases and look beautiful for what they were going for (I hate people that don't like things not being realistic and/or think it's a cop-out for devs who can't handle it like my own brother does).
OT: I think we will get 1 big announcement at Gamescom and TGS. TGS may be bringing up TLG again or maybe something else that was previously announced. Gamescom I think they heard the backlash for showing ALL indies last year (even though some of them looked AMAZING).
