Was. Not is. Every game released since is better mechanically. No one is which is the least important or or game changing. The topic asks which one is the worst. Every Zelda since improves apon what OoT started. OoT did not age as gracefully as any of the others have and will. Anyone who genuinely thinks OoT is not the worst, at least mechanically, can't let nostalgia go and it is probably the first 3D Zelda and one of the first 3D games they ever played. OoT was the first Zelda game I ever played, and even I can admit that it doesn't compare to its successors.

When did you play OOT? be honest, even if you take off the nostalgia goggles, most will see just how much better it is than Skyward sword or even TP. WW and Majoras mask improved on every aspect of OT, TP and Skyward sword did not. They were too linear, and had too much handholding.

Even with the open-world, Wind Waker was still pretty easy and linear IMO. The only Zelda's less linear than Ocarina of Time after it released are Majora's Mask and A Link Between Worlds

You are right about Wind waker, it was easier, and still linear but there was a huge ocean to explore, and each zone had something special. OOT you were able to do the dungeons out of order, and majoras mask had the largest amount of side quests of any of the zelda games. And a link between worlds was amazing, but it's not 3d:P However, IMHO the games have been getting easier with each iteration WW is easier than MM and OOT but harder than TP, TP is harder than SS...well...depending on how the motion controls were working for you SS may be the hardest of the batch (but not for the right reasons).
