There is just no merit to letting players play an old build that has already most of the bugs removed in a newer build. The only thing it does is gathering criticism for things that probably don't even exist anymore in the game.

Server stress testing, ironing out kings you didnt now were there, and so forth.

The client was setup to litterally wire tap every player, their entire movement course was tracked, every step they took, every time they pulled the trigger, every collision box they hit or shot, everything.

To a developer that sort of information is extremely valuable, especially when you dont have to pay a room full of sweaty neckbeards for the privleage.

And to mock the whole "titanfall graphics comparison" sigs that were all the rage the while back with the black screen ps4..
