Did EA mishandle the Titanfall IP?

that's besides the point though.  So MS helped fund the game and got timed exclusivity.  That's fine.. But then afterwards EA makes it a lifetime console exclusive.. that's where I believe EA potentially screwed up considering the IP itself will eventually end up on other systems. 

but see it from ms point of view they put the money why should sony benfit from it for all we know the money that they got from ms for going exclusive was needed for the game(i cant remember if that was talked about or not)
