There is also Mind=0, a jRPG which is generally considered to be a Persona rip-off. But if you are to take inspiration from someone, take it from the best, I guess ;) You should also try some visual novels, they are very good for consuming time. Virtue's Last Reward and Danganronpa are awesome games.
When it comes to PSP RPGs, I'd recomend The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky. Very good, though text-heavy jRPG.
But your first choices should be Persona 4 Golden and Final Fantasy X HD. P4G is the best RPG of the recent years on all platforms, while FF X HD is among my top 5 games all time, so you can't go wrong with either one :P
And get Tearaway fast. It's not a RPG, but it doesn't matter. Just buy it. It's an incredible experience that happens once in a generation. I'm sure Miyamoto is jealous he didn't make this game.
Wii U is a GCN 2 - I called it months before the release!
