1080p LED all the way. More affordable than OLED by far, and not much quality difference.
Sony, Samsung, and LG tend to be the best, but Vizio is actually pretty respectable in the LED market. You can get a 3D, 42" 1080p smart TV from them for less than $500, which is a steal (or at least I did. I have a 52 in. Sony TV, and purchased a 42 in. Vizio recently).
