Soul Hackers is good but pretty different from other Megaten games.

 

If you have a working PS2 I would get the games on it. Unless you plan on getting a PS3 and buying them on PSN.

You could play the SNES ones too, they have a fan translation. Otherwise do as Soriku says, the PS2 ones (specially SMT 3 Nocturnes) are awesome.
