Yes, buying exclusive content is very pathetic. Instead of buying exclusive content from third parties, Sony should focus on getting their own games released. It's very much on-topic. It's like Sony is trying to cover up their own lack of games with this. Invest in your own games, not in timed DLC or advertising rights.

Making the right deals with the right third parties is not pathetic, it's just intelligent business, MS has been doing this very successfully with Cod for years now. Also who says they are not focussing on getting their games released? Just because they don't have that much for 2014 (cause we all know that Nintendo had no problem delivering their games last year, right? It's only because pathetic Sony doesn't focus enough on finishing their games)? They have 2 games scheduled for Q1 2015 already, so I'd wager that they are very much focussing on getting stuff done.
