i doubt sony put a dime into indies (that aren't ps+ titles).  jonathan blow said very openly that no money exchanged hands,.. that timed exclusivity to a  platform was unavoidable because of his team's small size couldn't support all platforms with launch parity.  the ps4 was the platform he choose to launch first for a lot of reasons including ease of development and sony's great working relationship with indies.

wrt destiny,.. that was obviously paid but MS has the same thing in CoD and evolve and fifa and dead rising 3 and titanfall and sunset overdrive.  if one side is going to be called-out there typically has to a disparity in behavior.

OT - i'd have to got back to the E3 conference footage but i think the statment on stage was something like "destiny will always have more content on playstation".   i wouldn't be surprised if the content that launches this year on playstation comes to xbox the same day a fresh batch of content comes to playstation.  in that way, a year of exclusivity could make sense.

I wouldn't say he's the best example. With the amount of publicity and marketing Sony has been giving the Witness, they may as well have handed him a fat wad of cash. I see it as no different than the marketing deals first parties strike with third party publishers.

OT: Seems like the only ones who should be excited about this game are Playstation gamers, as ActiBungie clearly don't give a flying rat's ass about the rest of us. -_-
