There is something that has been bothering me lately. The reason why it is bothering me is because i'm the only person who notices it.
We all know what fanboys are, correct? You can spot one from a mile away. BUT.. there are some fanboys who have managed to evolve to the next level. It's pretty much to the point that you can't really call them fanboys anymore. Their skills in stealth, intelligence, aggravation and annoying stats are increased DRAMATICALLY!
We need a new name for this new breed of fanboy.
A regular fanboy usually hides behind 1 console and attempts to do their best at trashing opposing systems. But this new breed of fanboy doesn't do that.
This new breed strategically hides behind multiple consoles instead of 1. This makes it so that nobody can ever actually point them out as being a fanboy. They also tend to only focus on downplaying and trashing 1 specific console/company.
So it's weird because a regular fanboy only hides behind 1 console/company while trashing multiple opposing companies. But this new breed of fanboy does the EXACT opposite and hides behind multiple companies/consoles while trashing a specific 1.
It's like a reverse fanboy!
I'm mainly a PS guy but i notice when a PS fanboy says slick thing about Ninty or MS just as often as i would when a Ninty or MS fanboy says something slick about Sony.
Being that i'm mainly a PS guy, i'm going to use PS as an example
here are the basics
Fanboy = Pretty much hides behind their preferred console while downplaying the others
Reverse Fanboy = Pretty much hides behind multiple consoles while downplaying their least favorite console.
So basically
Sony fanboy = loves and hides behind PS while trashing the competition every chance they get
Reverse Sony fanboy = despises Sony but hides behind the other consoles. The type that as long as it's Sony, they hate it.
These are also the type of guys who say " well what about all you Playstation fans that say that Killzone Shadowfall is better than Titanfall, Call Of Duty and Halo combined? Your all delusional" when in fact there AREN'T any PS fan saying this stuff. " What about all you Playstation fans who like to downplay steam and Xbox live but then turn around and praisesPlaystation Plus!?" when in fact there AREN't any PS fans doing this either
I swear they just make shit up and claim that Playstation fans are going around saying saying it because they know people will believe without questioning them because PS fans are the majority.
But when I come in, question them and catch them in their lie, they act lost and usually start scrambling. I can never really call them a fanboy though because they strategically hide behind multiple consoles.
There are a couple of these reverse fanboys here on vgc and some on youtube.
I would drop names but the mods will throw me in the Chokey if i do. That is the ONLY reason why i wont drop names.

Have you noticed these new breed of fanboys on either side? or am i really the only 1 who is able to notice them?
We need a name for these new breed of fanboy. Any suggestions?
